Learning and improvement in Spanish Cooperation

A class of schoolchildren in the Sisa Valley in San Martín, a Spanish Cooperation project

Learning and improving are two fundamental aspects for ensuring the evolution of Spanish Cooperation and for stimulating change in the countries in which we operate. Although progress has been made on many fronts, there is still a long road ahead before we can match the cooperation systems in our neighbouring countries.

Spanish Cooperation is supported by various sources of knowledge that are brought together in a knowledge management system incorporating the following fields:

  • Information management via systems guaranteeing accessibility, reliability and regular information updates.
  • Evaluation processes directed towards continual improvement.
  • The generation of knowledge about the reality of development issues through development research and studies.
  • Monitoring linked to development results.
